Preview Norwich City Premier League, Aug 28, 2021

Preview Norwich returns behind Tuesday’s 6-0 thrashing of Bournemouth in the EFL Cup. However, they remain without a victory since the opening day of the season. They took three against Liverpool at their re-introduction to top-flight football before sinking to a new low with five against Manchester City. An own goal from Tim Krul (7’ O.G.) saw City take the lead in the opening minutes before Jack Grealish (22') added to Norwich's troubles. After the break, Laporte (64’) and second-half substitute, Raheem Sterling (71’) made things worse for the Canaries. An intelligent run from Riyad Mahrez (84’) through a wall of yellow shirts put the game to bed. Having no points, Daniel Farke's side remains rooted to the bottom of the league table with a goal difference of -8 after two games: 0W, 0D & 2L. Farke will have another window of opportunity on Saturday. However, considering the performance against City, Norwich could be in for another round of pummeling. A victory over Leicester City looks unlikely but a point could be the starting point of the required turn-around. The ultimate goal is to remain in the Premier League at the end of the season and Farke would be looking to gather enough points to do so. An attacking 4—3—3 formation with Teemu Pukki given the goal-scoring responsibilities could be seen. Centre-backs, Rocky Bushiri and Timm Klose are doubtful for this game.

Preview Leicester City Premier League, Aug 28, 2021

Preview Ten-men Leicester City were blown away in the 4-1 defeat to West Ham on Monday night at the London Stadium. Ayoze Perez (R. 40’) got himself sent off after an ugly foul on Pablo Fornals. Fornals had scored the opening goal in the 26th minute. Having assisted Fornals for the first goal, Said Benrahma (56') doubled the lead for West Ham. But Leicester's Youri Tielemans (69') cut the goal deficit down to one. However, the numerical advantage began to tell as West Ham had plenty of opportunities to take the game to Leicester City. Eventually, a brace from the red-hot-form Michail Antonio (80' & 84') put the game to bed. The defeat leaves the Foxes in 12th place with 3 points after two games: 1W, 0D & 1L. Brendan Rodgers will be on the hunt for maximum points on Saturday to get Leicester City back to winning ways. An attacking 4—2—3—1 formation with Jamie Vardy upfront is expected. Wesley Fofana is ruled out for this game while Jonny Evans remains doubtful. Nampalys Mendy picked up a groin injury while James Justin is sidelined with a blow to the knee.
