Preview Wolverhampton Wanderers Premier League, Dec 1, 2021

Preview Wolves picked up a point against Norwich City after a goalless draw at Carrow Road over the weekend. Wolves had 57% ball possession and took 5 shots, with only two on target, despite putting together 600 passes, about 150 more than the opposition, Norwich. I think we started the game very well. Bruno Lage said in his post-match press conference. The first 20 minutes, we managed the game the way we liked. It worked. In the final third, I think we could be more aggressive and create our own chances. When the ball arrived, I think we couldn't do the moves the way we wanted to. Lage continued. Sometimes I think the players need to understand they can face situations in one against one and shoot to the goal. I think we missed a spark. Second half, the game was more balanced. We lost some balls on the sides because of some transitions, and Norwich created good chances. If you look at the whole game, it's a point, but I think in that moment, we should do better, Lage concluded. Wolves have 8 points from a possible 15: DWLWD, and remain in 6th place, having picked up 20 points after 6W, 2D, and 5L. We could be seeing three at the back once again, fashioned in the 3—4—3 formation with Raúl Jiménez at the center of the attacking trio.

Preview Burnley Premier League, Dec 1, 2021

Preview Burnley had their game against Tottenham Hotspur postponed due to the severe snowstorm. The disappointing announcement was made shortly after both sides had named their starting XI. Spirited efforts to clear the pitch continued in vain as the undersoil heating struggled to do enough with the snow falling quickly. The groundkeepers had left Turf Moor's undersoil heating on overnight, but it was unable to cope with the conditions. Burnley made the announcement after both managers were present that the game had been called off due to concerns with the playing surface and surrounding areas. The Clarets remain in 18th place with 9 points from 1W, 6D, & 5L and are back with a game in hand while having two consecutive draws: LDWDD, ahead of this fixture against Wolves. A win for Burnley could see the Clarets topple Leeds United on the Premier League if the latter fails to defeat Crystal Palace on Tuesday. Sean Dyche’s 4—4—2 formation is expected for this game against Wolves, with Chris Wood and the Ivorian, Maxwel Cornet, in attack.
