Looking to invigorate the team with some youthful enthusiasm, Julian Nagelsmann introduced Jamal Musiala and Josip Stanisic right after the break. Four minutes later, a mazy run from the second-half substitute, Jamal Musiala gave the waiting Robert Lewandowski a fine opportunity for a simple tap in. Later, a fantastic finish by Gnabry (59') saw Bayern double the lead. However, Anthony Modeste (60') halved the deficit for Koln after a thumping header which had Neuer beaten in goal. Two minutes later, Bayern's lead slipped away after a half-volley from Mark Uth (62') found its way into the net. However, Serge Gnabry (71') returned for the brace to wrap up the three points for Bayern Munich. The victory leaves the champions in 4th place and with 4 points after two games: 1W, 1D & 0L.
