This week’s Euro Transfer Talk sees us take in the biggest rumours for both player switches and potential managerial departures as we reach the business end of this strange season. Our headline takes us to Arsenal, where Mikel Arteta has emerged as a surprising front runner for the Barcelona job if Joan Laporta wins the ongoing presidential elections - something he is expected to do. Laporta, as well as his election rivals, are also set on securing Lionel Messi’s long term future in Catalonia, with the Argentinian reportedly being closer than ever to agreeing a new deal, although Manchester City still believe he’ll be a Premier League player come August.
As ever we let you know the latest on the Erling Haaland situation, as despite a big bid from Chelsea expected to come in, the Norwegian might reject the chance to move to the Premier League - although again, not if Man City can help it.
Elsewhere, Bayern are looking to move for Kalidou Koulibaly of Napoli, whilst their soon-to-be free agent David Alaba is demanding to be played as a midfielder wherever he ends up. Finally, could it be Jose Mourinho out at Spurs? If it is, RB Leipzig boss Julian Nagelsmann has his eyes on the job in North London.
