USWNT looked to be heading for a 1-0 win vs. Australia until Kyah Simon’s late deflected effort earned a 1-1 draw for the home side. Ashley Hatch had given USWNT the lead after just four minutes with her second international goal. Australia threatened to equalize through Sam Kerr, but it was USWNT who should have added to their lead through Lynn Williams. The away side paid for their missed chances when Kyah Simon equalized late on.
