Ralf Rangnick apologises to Manchester United supporters after their humiliating defeat at Brighton.
To start with it’s important that we apologise to our supporters. We were just not good from start to finish. Extremely poor performance
I have to defend the players, they care. It was clear not to change a winning team but as I said, I remember the Watford game away and this was very similar. If you do not defend properly this is what happens
No disconnect, I was fully aware of the situation. The first half our biggest problem was their wing backs
It was a humiliating defeat today, it was my second highest defeat as a coach in 35 years. It was completely unacceptable
I don’t want to speak about new players after a performance like today. Full responsibility on my side
I fully trust the board on recruitment, it was not meant as a criticism towards anyone
Yes it’s been a disaster, I’m very positive we have a top manager next season with Ten Hag. There will be more changes to come in the summer
