Manchester United are discussing the appointment of a new Transfer Chief to take over all transfer negotiations at the club. For me, this is the single most important part of the football structure that is still missing despite the widespread changes behind the scenes this summer.
If we are truly going to rebuild under Erik ten Hag, then the most important signing we could make is somebody like Michael Edwards, the former Liverpool transfer guru who masterminded a huge overhaul of their own transfers and played a key role in building the Liverpool squad of today.
