We are delighted to announce that goalkeeper Ryan Whitley will remain with York City after signing a two-year contract extension.

Whitley progressed through the club’s academy and enters his sixth season with the Minstermen after signing his first professional contract with the club in 2017.

The 22-year-old has spent the last two seasons on loan at Scarborough Athletic, working with former Clubman of the Year Michael Ingham and earning promotion via the playoffs last season – keeping a total of 20 clean sheets in the Northern Premier League.
