Preview Nice Ligue 1, Dec 12, 2021

Preview OGC Nice failed to earn a point last weekend at the Allianz Riviera, having picked up a heavy 3-0 loss to RC Strasbourg. Ludovic Ajorque (21’) put the Racers in front mid-way through the first forty-five to see RC Strasbourg keep the lead until the interval. With nine minutes left on the clock, a cheeky back-heel from Habib Diallo (81’) saw Walter Benitez diving the wrong way. OGC Nice failed to find a reply and let in a third, three minutes later as Strasbourg’s Adrien Thomasson (84’) wrapped up the points. Luckily, the Eaglets remained in 4th place on the Ligue 1 table, despite failing to pick up a point against Strasbourg. Nice have 27 points from 8W, 4D, and 5L, coupled with only one victory in five games: LWLDL. The Eaglets have a haul of 25 goals after 17 Ligue 1 appearances. - A goal ratio of 1.47 goals scored per game. At the other end, Les Aiglons have conceded 15 goals (0.88 goals per match) so far this season and have a G.D. of +10. Manager Christophe Galtier is holding on desperately to a top-four spot and a defeat here would see OGC Nice tumble out of the congested mid-upper-half section of the Ligue 1 table. Les Aiglons may appear in the form of a conventional 4—4—2 with the duo consisting of Amine Gouiri and Kasper Dolberg in attack. Andy Delort is suspended for this fixture while Robson Bambu is ruled out.
