Aleksandar Mitrovic, who recently fired Serbia to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar with a last-minute winner against Portugal, is also on fire for Fulham in the second tier, on course to beat Ivan Toney’s record 31-goal haul from last season. But he has consistently failed to recreate that kind of form for the Cottagers or Newcastle in the Premier League.
We also take a look at Nick Powell, who arrived at Man United in 2012 with much promise but never lived up to it in the top flight, and Anthony Knockaert, who was a talisman in both Leicester and Brighton’s promotion campaigns but became surplus to requirements once in the Prem.
