Today we’re counting down 10 players who have disappointed us at Euro 2020. After his heart-wrenching penalty miss against Switzerland, Kylian Mbappé will look back on this summer’s tournament as a wasted opportunity, as he failed to score or inspire his side to victory in any game. Portuguese duo Ruben Dias and Bruno Fernandes will also be disappointed with their contribution – their performances were nowhere near the level they showcased for Man City and Man United in the Premier League over the last year.
Harry Kane has also come under great scrutiny after failing to score or have a meaningful impact in the group stage, while Germany’s Serge Gnabry, who possessed a superb scoring record for his country going into the tournament, has been similarly quiet.
