In this top 10, we take a look at 10 players who have been disrespected and underused by England. This includes Trent-Alexander Arnold at Liverpool, who has been consistently overlooked by Gareth Southgate, while many feel the England manager is also guilty of this with Southampton’s James Ward-Prowse, who has failed to make the squad for Euro 2020.
Other names include Scott Parker, who was only called up to 1 major tournament, and Manchester United legend Michael Carrick, who played fewer games for England than Gareth Barry.
Former Spurs forward Jermain Defoe also makes our list, and there are many strikers who have been overlooked by England; the likes of Andy Cole, Robbie Fowler, Patrick Bamford and Danny Ings. But we’ve opted for Arsenal legend, Ian Wright in this video.
And finally, Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori is joined by Matt Le Tissier, Steve Bruce and Paul Scholes in our top 10 - with the latter retiring from international football after being played in the wrong position. Enjoy the video and don’t forget to like and subscribe to Euro Football Daily.
