Ivor Taylor visited Ashton Gate this afternoon (Tuesday, March 19th) as the 102-year-old fan wished to touch the turf for 'one last time'.
Born in 1921 in Bristol, Ivor spent much of his life just a stones throw from Ashton Gate, a served his country in the Royal Air Force, reaching the rank of sergeant with the 'Lancaster Bombers'.
Upon leaving the RAF, Ivor joined the Fire Service, before later working with St John's Ambulance.
South Bristol through-and-through, he was taken on a behind-the-scenes tour of Ashton Gate by Supporter Liaison Officer , visiting the tunnel and home dressing rooms, before stepping out on to the pitch for a rendition of 'When the Red Red Robin'.
