With Erling Haaland set to leave Borussia Dortmund this summer, most likely to Man City or Real Madrid, we’ve taken a look at three players the Bundesliga club could sign to replace him, as they look to catch up with Bayern Munich in the league and re-establish themselves as a force in the Champions League. Salzburg sensation Karim Adeyemi is all but secured, and the German international possesses all the attributes needed to succeed at the Westfalenstadion – but he alone will not likely be enough to replace the talismanic Haaland.
French teenager Hugo Ekitike could be worth looking at too. He’s registered over 10 goal involvements at Reims, one of the least attacking teams in France, and does a lot of work in build-up and the defensive phase of play too. And finally there is Sebastien Haller, the more experienced option having already spent two seasons in the Bundesliga with Eintracht Frankfurt. Having hit over 30 goals for Ajax this season, he’s on fire right now.
