AC Milan's seven-year wait for a return to the UEFA Champions League will once again come down to the final day of the Serie A season after the Rossoneri suffer a scoreless draw at home with Cagliari. Without Zlatan Ibrahimovic on the pitch, Milan is unable to make the most of some clutch goalkeeping from Gianluigi Donnarumma, who makes multiple big saves to deny Cagliari a shock victory. A win would have seen Milan seal its return to Europe's biggest stage for the first time since the 2013-14 season. Instead, the Rossoneri will either need a result against provincial rival Atalanta or hope other results go their way.
