Watch the launch of Alan Dicks' autobiography Dicksy's Fifty Years in Football in a celebration of the manager who took City into the First Division with the team of '76.
On Tuesday, November 28th, in the Heineken Lounge at Ashton Gate, Dicks was joined by City legends Paul Cheesley, Brian Drysdale, Geoff Merrick, Dave Mogg, Tom Ritchie, Dave Rodgers, Gerry Sweeney and Clive Whitehead to share their memories of that very special time for The Robins.
Dicks, City's second-longest serving manager who was in charge for 13 years at Ashton Gate (October 1967-September 1980), took part in a Q & A with Richard Latham, looking back at ‘Dicksy' joining City from Coventry City in 1967 to their historic 1976 promotion and the club's time in the First Division.
