Augsburg and Werder Bremen play out a crucial fixture at the bottom of the Bundesliga. After both sides were reduced to 10-men it was Rani Khedira who found the breakthrough for Augsburg after halftime. Daniel Caligiuri later ensured the victory with his late penalty which sealed Augsburg’s safety for next season. The loss leaves Werder Bremen in the relegation playoff spot with a game remaining.
