Borussia Dortmund leaves the BayArena with a 4-3 victory where every goal was a lead changer and each team’s superstars put on a show. Florian Wirtz opens the scoring in the 9th minute, followed by an Erling Haaland equalizer off a towering header 30 minutes later. Jude Bellingham’s goal a few minutes after is overruled by VAR, and Patrik Schick scores in the final minute of the first half for Leverkusen to take the lead into halftime. Moussa Diaby scores first for Leverkusen in the second to make the game 3-2, then Borussia Dortmund scores the final two goals, courtesy of Julian Brandt and Haaland, to get a crucial victory in the early Bundesliga campaign.
