Comedian Mark Smith is joined by Football365 Editor Sarah Winterburn for this week’s edition of Big Weekend, in association with Paddy Power.
We start with a flat looking Wolves side taking on whatever on earth Leeds United currently are. Can the predictability of Nuno’s men seem them past one of the maddest teams the Premier League has seen for years?
Can Southampton regain their senses after that battering from Man Utd? It took them a while last year, but this weekend this face a Chelsea side who Sarah thinks finally have a manager who’s tactics are clear…
Then on to the big one, as Liverpool take on Everton. The midweek win could be massive for The Reds, but Everton are a dangerous side, despite their poor record at Anfield. For both teams, this derby is massive.
There’s an argument right now that David Moyes is the manager of the year, and his strikerless West Ham side could feel very confident of beating a Jose Mourinho Tottenham, who appear to have fast-forwarded to year three of this usual managerial pattern and are beginning to really struggle…
And finally, Arsenal take on an absolutely brilliant-looking Manchester City, who now look like certs for an easy title win…
So with Leeds entertaining, if not winning, Southampton needing just something, Mourinho on his usual path, Man City on the path to glory and an amazing looking game in L4, it looks like a Big Weekend to us.
