BLACKPOOL 1-2 BOURNEMOUTH | LATE LATE AGONY for BLACKPOOL in the (90+5) Minute
I don't know how you describe the pain, the agony at times of being a football fan (Blackpoll fan) but, in a game that Blackpool once again failed to take their chances and as my dad would always say "chances come back to haunt ya!" and so it proved to be as high flying Bournemouth who always looked dangerous and were never out of it scored what we thought was a late equaliser but as the 4th official put up 5 minutes and with Blackpool losing their star defender Marvin Ekpiteta earlier they seem to have had the stuffing knocked out of them could they hold on for a point? we all clung on to our seats, no one was leaving early, this was going to be a complete nail biter!
Bournemouth looked the most likely to go on and grab a winner even though Blackpool for me had been the better side but a combination of poor finishing, excellent goalkeeping and the woodwork prevented them form stretching their lead in the 2nd half!
Aided by a referee that seemed determined to give Bournemouth every decision he possibly could to help them win! it proved to be the case and as the extra 5 minutes had almost ticked over (I'm convinced they actually had and time was up) deep deep into injury time...
