We are delighted to announce that Caitlin Foord has signed a new contract here at Arsenal.
Caitlin joined us in 2020 from Portland Thorns in the USA and made her Arsenal debut against Lewes in the FA Cup in February 2020, scoring the opener in a 2-0 win.
The 28-year-old Australian forward has since gone on to make a total of 94 appearances for us, scoring 35 goals.
Caitlin made 33 appearances in the 2022/23 season, scoring 11 goals and providing a further nine assists. She scored twice in our 5-1 win away at European champions Lyon in the UEFA Women's Champions League in October 2022, while there was another double for the Australian when we beat Tottenham Hotspur by the same scoreline in the Barclays Women's Super League in March 2023.
At international level, Caitlin has represented Australia at three FIFA World Cups, in 2011, 2015 and 2019, as well as the Olympics in 2016 and 2020. She reached a century of appearances for the Matildas in April 2022.

“I couldn't be happier to extend my stay here at Arsenal,” said Caitlin. “I feel like I'm growing and improving being here in this environment so I don't want to leave that. I want to continue to get better and to help the team – I enjoy going out and training every day and wanting to be better and being surrounded by world-class players. This feels like the right place – the place I want to be.”
