TRANSCRIPT:
Q: You've already won a lot at a young age. What are your next list of ambitions, a World Cup, a champions league? Individual awards, you've won young player twice, the Footballer of the Year or even the Ballon D'or down the line?
A: “Yeah it's just one medal that I'm missing - the Champions League. So hopefully I can definitely get that medal in the future, so I am looking forward to playing in the Champions League this year and hopefully we can win because it's very important to win the Champions League and put City's name in history as well”
Q: Do you feel you're part of that history and tradition of the club as well? That you've almost got a role to help make history with them?
A: ”Yeah. I'm going to try. I obviously grew up in the academy and have been through
every age group, now to the first team as well so if we won that (Champions League) it would be a little bit extra special for me.

Q: TCL's mission statement is to inspire greatness, what inspired you to become a footballer in the first place?
A: “I think just watching football on the TV, seeing big players play football and I just wanted to be like them. I used to go to the park to play every day wishing I could be one of them one day.”

Q: Any particular players that first spring to mind, any footballing heroes?
A: “I used to like [David] Beckham, [Wayne] Rooney when I was watching England. I
thought we should have won something back in the Euros and things. That team was unbelievable.”

Q: What inspired you to support and join Manchester City?
“Obviously, I was very young when I got scouted and ever since I trained, I just fell in love with the club. I loved watching David Silva who, became my idol and I've been here ever since.”

Q: Do you see yourself as a role model to young fans?
A: “Definitely, I feel like I can set an example on the pitch and also off the pitch to the young people, young kids that want to be me.”

Q: When you were a young kid did you ever dream you would be playing in the Premier League, huge finals for City and England, winning trophies, winning awards?
A: “Obviously, you always have a dream as a kid to be one of the big players but sometimes you don't think it's possible. I feel really fortunate to be in position I'm in now and play with so many quality players.”

Q: If you had to pick one, who would be the greatest player you've ever seen?
A: “Wow, that's so difficult. When I was watching football and growing up I loved David Silva but seeing Kevin De Bruyne every day in training, the things he does! Unbelievable player; probably the best player I've ever, ever played with.”

Manchester City and England's Phil Foden discusses his Champions League aspirations ahead of this week's home tie against German side Borussia Dortmund.
