Burnley's U18s booked their place in the FA Youth Cup fourth round on Monday night with a dramatic penalty shoot-out victory over Birmingham City at Leyland.
In an end-to-end encounter, Zach Johnson found the opener for the Clarets in the first half before Frank Tattum secured the Blues the equaliser with ten minutes left on the clock which saw the game move to extra time.
City's Menzi Mazwi added a second onto the scoresheet for Birmingham in the second period of extra time, where Jack Rogers struck home with seconds to go to take the tie to a shoot-out.
Tony Philliskirk's side secured came out on top with a 4-3 win on penalties, which sees the side continue into the FA Youth Cup fourth round.
