On Thursday afternoon, Latics pair Ben Amos and Christ Tiéhi paid a special visit to junior supporters at Wigan Athletic Community Trust's Holiday Camp at Deans Trust Wigan.
Running throughout February Half-Term, the holiday camps help children stay active and enjoying football over the holidays.
Participants at the Deans Trust Wigan camp were treated to a surprise visit from their Latics heroes, with Ben Amos and Christ Tiéhi getting involved with the matches at the camp.
Alongside enjoying some football matches with the children, the pair also took time to chat with and sign autographs for the children.
At the event, Ben Amos said, “I think it's huge that football clubs work alongside the community. Wigan's got a good reputation for that, and it's only positive that the community gets involved with the football club.
“I think they [the participants] really enjoyed it. They were all really enthusiastic, I think they've been here; someone said six hours at it today. So I think they'll sleep well tonight
“I always remember coming to things like this, and it was something really exciting to look forward to. No matter what is going on at home for a lot of them, this is such a great escape for them to just come and enjoy themselves.”
