🎥⚽ Match Highlights: Catch all the action from our draw at home against Erith Town! 🌟🥅
See all the best bits from our no-score draw against Erith Town on 9th November. We returned home this week to face Erith Town and hoped to build on our point from last time out against Merstham. The first chance of the game fell to Erith Town when a long throw fell kindly 8 yards out but Tangara was quick to get down and prevent a goal. Our first chance of the match came from a freekick right on the edge of the area when Daniel was pulled down but his effort from the set piece was straight at the keeper. Kirby, who has been in prolific form, had a volley smartly stopped soon after but Pierrick could not convert the rebound, before Kirby had another effort from range tipped over the bar just before halftime. Daniel had a freekick from range spectacularly tipped aside early in the second half as we tried to break the deadlock, whilst Pierrick clipped a chance from 6 yards out over the bar. Our best chance of the half came after Kirby danced down the right wing and picked out Collins on the edge of te box who struck it sweetly first time but the keeper managed to get fingertips to the ball to push it round the post. Collins had another shot moments later when he put a free header just wide of the mark much to his frustration. Erith Town struggled to escape their own half and matters were made worse for them when Jeffery was sent off in stoppage time but it was too little too late for Croydon Athletic as we could not find the crucial goal in time. That makes it two draws in two for us but they involved a pair of very promising performances that will be sure to take us back to winning ways soon.
Next up for The Rams it is a short turnaround as we travel to Carshalton Athletic for the Velocity Cup Third Round on the 11th November! Highlights for that game will be out soon! 💪
