See all the best bits from our league game at home to Herne Bay. We came out the gates flying with Pierrick flashing a shot wide before we took the lead in the ninth minute as Daniel picked the ball up centrally and found the bottom corner with a sharp finish from outside the box. An acrobatic save from the visitors prevented a second when Dotse looped a header toward the top corner but couldn't beat the keeper who had a great half. We missed another golden opportunity to double the lead when Dotse's shot was stopped on the line and Daniel's rebound hit a defender and came back off the post. Herne Bay made us pay for those misses as they raced down the left flank before cutting the ball across where Rowland made no mistake from a couple of yards out to equalise just before half time. The team talk worked wonders as we restored our lead shortly after the break; with the assist again was Pierrick as he pulled the ball back to Kirby who took one touch before lashing an unstoppable strike in from 25 yards. The visitors drew a couple of great stops from Tangara as they tried to find another equaliser but the next goal came at the other end. It was a piece of art from Daniel as he wriggled his way past 4 defenders in the box and rolled the ball in past the keeper to get his second of the afternoon. Collins added a final bit of gloss to the scoreline as he pounced on a loose ball from a corner in the 85th minute to put the game out of Herne Bay's reach. That was the last action of the game as we picked up another 3 points and edged our way closer to the play-off positions!
