We started brightly and were slightly unfortunate to not get a penalty early on before flashing a shot wide from 10 yards out shortly after. The visitors took the lead from a deep free kick that came off a defender's head and wrongfooted the keeper. We missed a golden opportunity to equalise from a similar set-up but the finish was off target. Regents Park Rangers doubled their lead after a calamitous mix-up at the back left Maeda with the goal at her mercy to tap in. We came out with a renewed spirit in the second half, immediately reducing the deficit as Forst struck early on with a tidy finish. Kabadaki then drew us level, pouncing on a poor touch from the keeper to find the bottom corner. We kept dominating the game, pushing the visitors further back and creating a number of chances to take the lead. We finally got our noses in front from a corner as Lawrence controlled a bouncing ball and slotted the ball in through a sea of legs. Kabadaki completed the comeback when she raced clear from a long ball, holding off the last defender before working an angle to beat the keeper, sparking huge celebrations. An incredible show of resilience from the team ensures our perfect campaign keeps going!
