See all the highlights from our last league game at home to Three Bridges. Three Bridges secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Croydon Athletic in a tense Isthmian League clash on Saturday afternoon, as Keith Millen oversaw his first game in charge. The visitors started the game near the foot of the table whilst we were hoping to push on and challenge for the play-off spots. The first half saw few clear-cut chances but we were imposing ourselves in the game and were unlucky to not score when Figueira found space inside the box. However, Three Bridges had maybe the best chance of the half when a low free kick fizzed across the box but no one could apply the finishing touch. Omilabu had a chance when a cut back found him on the edge of the box but the strike was well-blocked by the defence, and 10 minutes later he did well to find space and get a strike away that curled agonisingly past the post. The second half started with a Three Bridges freekick that we defended well and countered quickly resulting in a dangerous cross that was turned away by the Three Bridges defenders. The game turned when Three Bridges won a penalty in the 77th minute and, despite late chances, we couldn't find an equaliser.
It was a spirited performance in the first game under our new manager and the focus is on next Saturday when we travel to Sittingbourne on the 20th November! 💪
