Everton extended their unbeaten run to five matches – just – as Beto came off the bench to head a dramatic 94th-minute leveller in a 1-1 draw with Fulham at Goodison.
The Blues looked to be heading for defeat after ex-Toffee Alex Iwobi put the visitors in front just past the hour point with a well-placed finish from the edge of the area.
Everton had gone close in the first half when Idrissa Gana Gueye saw his rising 25-yard effort kiss the underside of the bar, Dominic Calvert-Lewin finishing from the rebound, only to be deemed offside.
But, in truth, the hosts struggled to rediscover their encouraging play from recent weeks and appeared to be coming away empty-handed – only for Beto to meet Ashley Young's first-time centre across goal and head beyond Bernd Leno to send Goodison wild.
