In February 2024, the Bristol City Heritage & Archive was launched to preserve the memories of the club's great history.
As part of this, legacy numbers were allocated to all players who had played a competitive match and subsequently legacy caps are now being presented to former players and managers, starting in May this year.
The latest recipient made six first team appearances for City from 1959 to 1961. However, it was the impact he had on the formation of the Bristol City Centre of Excellence which developed into the Academy which has left a lasting legacy to this day.
On the 15th anniversary of Frank Jacobs passing, the club is proud to share the following video that celebrates his legacy with some tributes from those who knew him best during his time at the club.
The family were presented with his legacy cap on Tuesday night prior to the match against Sheffield United.
