An underperforming Barcelona looked to be heading for a 0-0 draw with lowly Deportivo Alaves until Frenkie de Jong scored the winner in the 87th minute. Luuk de Jong had Barcelona’s best chances, with a volley going just wide in the first half before going close with a goalmouth scramble in the second. Alaves also went very close to scoring on two occasions and will consider themselves unlucky to come away with no points.
