After not scoring seven goals in a top-flight game for 50 years, Chelsea repeated the feat just two months later.
Aston Villa were unbeaten in 11 league games and in the hunt for a top-four place when they arrived at the Bridge and after conceding the opener to Lampard after 15 minutes, they looked to be right in the game when John Carew equalised just before the half-hour.
However, Lampard restored our lead with a penalty just before half-time and got two more in the second half for his second four-goal performance for the Blues, while Malouda netted twice and Kalou bagged another to seal a stunning 7-1 win.
