Lars Stindl's converted penalty opened the scoring for Gladbach in the first half, only to be answered by a diving header from Nicolas Gonzalez. Moments later, Denis Zakaria slipped by the Stuttgart defense to retake the lead, but a stoppage time goal from Silas Wamangituka forced a share of the spoils.
