The West Ham board have come out fighting in defence of Tim Steidten following reports there were close to sacking him. This followed earlier news that the transfer for Brazil wonderkid Luis Guilherme had broken down due to owner David Sullivan undermining Steidten which has also been robustly denied by the club.
