Carshalton Athletic’s first pre-season game under the management of new boss Steve McKimm ended in a 2-1 defeat to Hythe Town at Colston Avenue on Saturday. With club stalwart Tommy Bradford on the bench for the first half, it was a line-up made up completely of players new to the club and trialists that started the game on a very hot afternoon against a Hythe team playing its third pre-season match.
