On this week's show, Hamill launches a new mini-series... 'Football's Forgotten Heroes'.
In episode one, we unpack the legacy of American great Gil Heron; who played for Glasgow Celtic in the 1951/52 season.
Heron was the first black soccer player to play professionally in both the United States and Scotland, blazing a trail for aspiring African American soccer players.
As part of our Black History Month offering, we wanted to delve a little deeper into his origin story. Which should, without doubt, be more widespread amongst the football community.
His son, Gil Scott Heron, is widely regarded as the first rapper. What a lineage!
