The Wolves Golden Chance project has given once in a lifetime experiences to grassroots footballers in the USA and across Asia. In the latest instalment, aspiring players spotted during a training camp in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia were given the opportunity to travel to the UK, experience first-class coaching, facilities and advice as they look to further their careers.
While they were at Compton, they had to the chance to attend an U21s game and meet Hee Chan Hwang, a huge inspiration to Asian players, and Justin Hubner, who has taken a unique route to go on to represent Indonesia at the Asian Cup and is now on loan in Osaka, Japan.
We also hear from Harry Birtwistle, whose journey into the game has many parallels to the Golden Chance participants. After first being spotted at a Soccer School in Singapore, Harry made the most of being invited over to Wolverhampton for trials and has signed professional terms with the club.
