Joe Edwards joined Everton as Frank Lampard's Assistant Manager earlier this month - and you can watch his first in-depth interview with evertontv now.
Released by Chelsea's academy as a 16-year-old, Edwards was kept close at Stamford Bridge and, after turning to coaching, took up his first-time role with the London club aged just 19.
After consistent success with Chelsea's Under-18s and Development Squad (Under-23s), he was promoted to Assistant Coach with the First Team following the appointment of Lampard in the summer of 2019.
He proved an invaluable asset as several of the young players he had previously worked with - including Mason Mount, Reece James, Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori - stepped up to the senior squad and thrived.
He remained in the role under current Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel and was part of the German’s backroom team that won the Champions League in Porto last season.
