Charlotte FC today announced the Club has signed forward Kerwin Vargas from Portuguese side C.D. Feirense to a contract until 2024 with option years for 2025 and 2026.
The 20-year-old will occupy an international roster slot on the Club’s inaugural roster. Vargas becomes the Club’s second U-22 initiative player.
Vargas, who joined C.D. Feirense as an academy player, was promoted to the first team in July 2021 and quickly made his senior debut against FC Famalicão in the Allianz Cup. His first goal with the Club came in his second league match against C.D. Mafra which was the game winner in a 1-0 victory. During his time with the Club, Vargas scored 7 goals in his 28 appearances in league play.
