Almost eight years ago, Kevin-Prince Boateng walked off the pitch with AC Milan after dealing with alleged racist abuse in a friendly. Fast forward to 2020, the current Monza midfielder opens up about the current state of the world and discusses the “Black Lives Matter” movement. The Ghanian international says he doesn’t care what people post on social media, but wants others to post videos saying “I stand with my black brothers and sisters.” Being from Berlin, Boateng says he didn’t know who he was growing up — he always felt in the middle of German and Ghanian. Plus, Puma graciously created him a custom pair of “Black Lives Matter” boots in support of an ally-ship that he feels “gives me wings.”
