LAFC will be the seventh seed in the Western Conference playoffs after their 1-1 draw vs. Portland Timbers. Carlos Vela made his first start since August 22nd and made an immediate impact with a goal in the fifth minute. However, Portland's Jorge Villafana had the last laugh with his equalizer in second-half stoppage time to earn the Timbers a late draw. Portland will be the third seed in the West and face FC Dallas in the first round, while LAFC will take on Minnesota United.
