ESPN's Alexis Nunes is joined by Rodri Faez, Tom Hamilton and Mark Ogden to discuss the future of Barcelona's Lionel Messi. Although unlikely to leave Barcelona in the January transfer window, Messi is already allowed to begin negotiations with any club outside of La Liga for a free transfer in the summer. It is believed Messi is waiting to see who Barcelona's next President will be, to then discuss the plan for the Catalan club. However, Faez believes Messi's representatives will already be holding conversations with the two most likely targets, Manchester City and PSG. There are many reasons why both clubs would be advantageous to Messi, reuniting with Pep Guardiola and playing alongside Sergio Aguero is apparently of interest, however Ogden believes teaming up with newly appointed Mauricio Pochettino may be the right decision and could see PSG try to sign Messi AND Sergio Aguero, whose contract runs out at the end of the season. That would see Messi playing alongside his previous team mate Neymar and an opportunity to play with Kylian Mbappe.
