Alas, the Euros are finished. And not long after, all everyone cares about again is transfer news & gossip - it never ends. After Fabrizio Romano said that talks between Barcelona and Atletico Madrid were advanced over a swap deal including both Antoine Griezmann & Saul, the interest has seemed to cool down - with the clubs at loggerheads as to what the next step is. Barca want Atleti to add cash to the deal, whilst Simeone’s men seem to just want a straight swap.
Whilst they’re messing about, two new clubs have emerged as favourites to Saul’s signature - Liverpool and Manchester United. With the news that contract talks with Jordan Henderson haven’t gotten off to a good start, The Reds could turn their attention to refreshing the midfield after losing Gini Wijnaldum earlier on in the summer. But they’re reportedly having to compete with Man United, where Ole Gunnar Solksjaer believes that he would be a perfect fit at Old Trafford.
