Erik ten Hag has learned he cannot trust his Manchester United squad after a dismal 1-0 defeat to Real Sociedad at Old Trafford. Fred, Casemiro, Cristiano Ronaldo and so many more were abysmal and the fact Lisandro Martinez was man of the match having only played 45 minutes is really telling.
We needed to find out tonight whether Ten Hag could trust his second XI to deliver the same sort of intense football we've seen in the Premier League. Unfortunately, we learned he can't.
