Oxford City started 2023 with a point after a 2-2 draw away at Slough Town in Vanarama National League South.
Despite going two goals ahead, City were left to rue a series of missed opportunities as Slough mounted a comeback in the last ten minutes of the match. Josh Parker's penalty had given the Hoops the lead before Alfie Potter added a second goal after the break.
However, late goals from substitutes Youssef Chentouf & Imran Kayani salvaged a point against the run of play for the hosts.
City 1st home fixture of 2023 will be vs St Albans City on Saturday and Ross Jenkins will look for a similar result when they visited Clarence Park earlier in the campaign.
