Atlanta United is back on the pitch on Sunday following the Leagues Cup break and the 5-Stripes are making the long trip to Seattle to take on the Sounders. Sunday's match marks the first time Gonzalo Pineda has returned to Seattle since taking over the head coach position at Atlanta United. Last year, Atlanta hosted Seattle and earned a dramatic stoppage time winner. Now it's time to make a push for the playoffs in the final 10 matches of the regular season for Atlanta. Seattle sits in fourth place in the Western Conference and is looking to improve its playoff standing with a victory.
Atlanta United joined Major League Soccer in 2017 and won the 2018 MLS Cup in just its second season, the earliest an expansion team has won the title since 1998.
