Last Monday CommBank Matildas head coach Tony Gustavsson proudly announced the 23-player squad that would be representing Australia at the FIFA Women's World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023™, with each player having a unique story on their path to becoming one of 23.
Kyah Simon's journey to a FIFA Women's World Cup on home soil has been anything but smooth sailing, with the forward tearing her ACL, MCL and meniscus in October 2022. A gruelling rehab was in store, with Simon named in her third FIFA Women's World Cup squad. Hear her story!
