After signing his new contract, Mikel Arteta revealed that his enjoyment of working alongside ambitious people every day was the key reason for committing his future to the club.
Extending his tenure in our dugout may be a huge personal celebration for our boss, but he was quick to share the credit across all the club for its growth during his near-five years in charge.
And when pressed about why he was so keen to continue the project he undertook back in December 2019, he admitted that the support, drive and enthusiasm surrounding him every day was the biggest factor.
