Stoke City slipped to a first defeat in six matches following a 3-0 reverse at home to Blackburn Rovers.
Scott Wharton edged the visitors into an early lead before Andrew Moran and Sammie Szmodics added late goals.
The Potters will look to brush away the disappointment of the defeat when they visit Queens Park Rangers on Tuesday.
