Stoke City slipped to a 3-0 defeat at home to play-off chasing Norwich City on Saturday in their final match before the March international break.
A quickfire double from Josh Sargent and Gabriel Sara put the visitors in control midway through the first half before Ashley Barnes added a third on the hour mark.
Steven Schumacher's side will now spend the next two weeks preparing for the trip to another top six hopeful in Hull City on Good Friday.
